Power cable paper is made from 100% superior sulfate insulating wood pulp. Excellent mechanical strength and dielectric properties,
High stiffness, high electrical strength and low compression coefficient.
Power Cable Paper Description
- Raw Material Selection: Uses high-purity cellulose fibers (e.g., wood pulp, cotton pulp, or synthetic cellulose) as the main raw material. Some high-performance variants may add inorganic fillers (e.g., clay) to enhance insulation and heat resistance.
- Pulp Preparation: The raw materials are beaten into a uniform pulp with controlled fiber length and dispersion, then mixed with water to form a pulp suspension.
- Paper Making: The pulp suspension is poured onto a paper machine’s wire mesh, where water is drained to form a wet paper web. The web is then pressed, dried at high temperature (to remove residual moisture), and calendered to achieve a smooth surface and uniform thickness.
- Post-Treatment: Some products undergo impregnation with insulating oil, resin, or wax to improve moisture resistance and dielectric properties. Finally, the paper is slit into rolls or sheets of specified dimensions.

Power Cable Paper
- Power Cable Manufacturing:
- Used as conductor insulation (wrapped around copper/aluminum conductors to prevent direct contact with outer insulation layers);
- Serves as core insulation for multi-core cables (separating different phase cores to avoid mutual interference);
- Applied as screening insulation between the cable core and metal shielding layer (enhancing dielectric strength).
- Transformer & Reactor Industry: Used as auxiliary insulation for low-voltage transformers or reactors (e.g., interlayer insulation for small coils).
- Electrical Equipment: Suitable for insulation of high-voltage bushings, cable terminations, and junction boxes (matching with insulation oil or gas to form a sealed insulating system).
